Wuxia AU team Gai at 13-14 (?) Tenten has an alternative outfit for combat (reasons for which will be filled out later). Also someone thought it would be cool if Neji utilizes Byakugan in archery so he has a bow holster now ^^

More drafts later on but the man yall’ve been waiting for:

Wudang students show off their moves in this real-life wuxia MV

These students at the Wudang Mountain look like they came out of a wuxia film in this MV. Filmmakers please take notes!

FYI the music is the recently trendy song Xia Shan/下山” (“Going Down the Mountain”) by 要不要买菜, about a martial arts disciple. I highly recommend checking it out!

Hello, I keep seeing arm bracers in xianxia and period dramas either as a piece of the amor or just worn over robes. I searched for information on arm guards, but I only found some vague information about ming dynasty paper arm guards. Do u know what the costuming is referencing or is it a modern creation?

Hi! The arm bracers you’re referring to are called Huwan/护腕 (wrist guards), and they are indeed based on history. I wrote about them in my post here, and you can also check out my Huwan tag for more resources. Hope this helps! ^^
